Points Explained

How the NEHT points system works and how to qualify for the Tour Championship.

The top 5 yearly points winners plus the Tour Champion will win the 6 Grand Prizes

Overview

The NEHT points system rewards consistent performance across all section events throughout the season. Points are awarded based on finishing position in each tournament and accumulate over the course of the year to determine who qualifies for the Stage 2 Elite invitationals and the Tour Championship.

The Race to Shadow Creek

Section Standings

Each of our 6 cities (6 sections total) has its own points leaderboard. Points are earned at the 3 events held within your section each quarter. The top 9 points winners in each section will qualify to go to the Invitationals. The points will reset each quarter.

Invitationals

The top point earners from each section advance to the Invitationals. This is by invitation only at first, if the field is not full within 7 days of the event we may open it up to general membership if there is a waiting list. Invitationals will have elevated prize pools and elevated points for the Grand Prize chase.

Tour Championship

The ultimate 144 player full field event will culminate at the end of the season. Only the top 144 points winners will qualify. If players do not wish to play, spots will be awarded 1 by 1 down the points list so that the highest points winners are competing. The top 5 yearly points winners plus the Tour Champion will be the 6 grand prize winners.

Money List

In addition to points, a separate money list tracks total prize earnings across all events. This runs independently of the points standings.

Tiebreakers

In the event of a points tie for the 6th Grand Prize, the tiebreaker will be resolved by a 3 hole aggregate playoff immediately following the final round of the Tour Championship. Weather, time and daylight permitting. If weather, time and daylight do not permit, the tiebreaker will be the higher finish of the tied players in the Tour Championship tournament. Players must be present — if 2 or 3 tie and all but one leaves, the remaining present player will win by default.
